I called in sick to recharge & unwind
As an enneagram 7 and Leo star sign with Sagittarius rising, I've always hated authority. Like, SO much.
When I started my 9-5 journey, it just didn't feel right and I've never felt a strong loyalty to any employer I've ever had - because the way the "modern day workplace" was run didn't sit right with me.
I didn't want to commute for 2 hours. I didn't want to make small talk with people.
I got burnt out and developed the worst chronic headaches. Thousands of dollars and weekends wasted at doctor's offices without an answer later, I started taking sick days to take care of my mental and physical wellbeing. And it was my lifeline.
Throughout the pandemic, I realized that the only thing that's truly ever going to be relevant and of importance to us, is self-care and our wellbeing.
There's a stigma that you can't have a thriving business and a fulfilling self-care routine or that you need to indulge in an elaborate 10-step program for you to feel accomplished in your self-care. And I call BS on that.
